We at Bet-Ker invest heavily in our employee experience and well-being at work. We want our people to enjoy working with us for a long time, and for them to stay healthy and fit. We invest in making sure that our employees can be satisfied, confident and proud of their workplace.

We have measured our staff’s employee experience, together with the Great Place to Work® team, for several years now. We have also achieved the Great Place to Work Certification™ every year the survey has been conducted. Certification is a significant recognition: it is granted if a personnel survey carried out according to the concept’s model proves that people enjoy the workplace and trust the employer. The certificate’s criteria are entirely based on employee responses. Our results have been well over the certification threshold every year, so we can truly believe that our employees enjoy it here. This year, we also made it onto the list of Finland’s Best Workplaces, in the small company category. We placed 14th. We are very proud of that!

Traditionally, our strengths have been familiarity, caring for each other, equality and our shared pride in our company. Coworkers, a good sense of humour in the workplace, flexibility and good benefits are always highlighted when asked about what makes our workplace an excellent one.

So, what is it that we do to make Bet-Ker such a good workplace? With us, everyone is seen as an individual and listened to. We encourage talking about both the good and the bad, and we hope that problems or nagging issues, in particular, are brought up. The balancing of work and other life are supported – flexibility is, after all, one of the strengths we are appreciated for. We trust our employees and give them freedom to act independently, and they have the opportunity to impact their own work and its development. We also strive to include employees in development projects and decision-making relating to their work.

We invest and cheer people on in taking care of their own well-being and encourage exercise. Every year, we organise some kind of exercise campaign, with which we aim to get our staff moving and enthusiastic about taking care of themselves. This year, we offered a personal trainer service to anyone who wanted it, where, together with a coach, employees could make a personal plan to support their well-being. In addition, we have offered the opportunity to try out different forms of exercise during “company time”.

Our fringe benefits are also appreciated among our staff. We have, among other things, extensive occupational healthcare, leisure-time accident insurance, E-passi, fruits, joint trips and workplace health promotion days.

Personnel surveys also highlight areas for development, and that was the case this year as well. We carefully analyse the survey results and plan for the future. We are excitedly further improving our operations and the comfort of our employees. A good workplace is not given, it is built. Together.
