We have long provided technical support to Finland’s most prominent metal smelters at their factories. This has facilitated the development of both materials and processes, improved our customer service and further strengthened the cooperation between Bet-Ker Oy and our customers.

Our focus has traditionally been on Finland. However, over the past six years or so, we have expanded our home market to other Nordic countries. Our marketing activities have mainly focused on Sweden and as an almost unknown player we have had plenty of work to do. However, operating from Finland has increased our visibility and we have also made inroads with Swedish steel mills – and the first continuous supplies are already under way.

We now want to pursue profitable growth in the Nordic countries even faster, which also required us to take a significant step in our customer service; we decided to replicate a proven model in the Finnish market and recruit a person in Sweden to be responsible for technical support and customer service.

We finally found the right man for the job, Kim Asp, who has more than 30 years of experience working both in a steel mill and at the customer interface. Kim joined Bet-Ker Oy Sweden in May 2022 as a Technical Support Engineer. Kim’s office is located in Nyköping and his role is to help our Swedish customers develop their processes for refractory materials and find the best possible products. Kim is also contact person between our customers and our product development, enabling, among other things, rapid problem solving.

Kim’s career at Bet-Ker has got off to a flying start and he has been very welcome in our team, and of course we hope for a positive reception from our customers too.

Swedish steel mills can now get the best refractory solutions for their processes by getting in touch with Kim – for example, by email: kim.asp@betker.fi

PS. To show that we are serious about customer service, we promise our Nordic customers product deliveries within 1–4 weeks of order!
