The biggest news in our history – Betker conquers new markets! 

This is the moment we’ve been waiting for – and now it’s official. Betker has acquired Sibelco’s Åheim Refractory operations, marking a giant leap in our international growth. This is not just a business deal – it’s a game-changing move that opens doors to entirely new markets and strengthens our position as a global expert in refractory solutions. 

When we combine Betker’s and Sibelco’s decades of expertise, we are creating a powerhouse that can offer our customers even more comprehensive, faster, and more innovative refractory solutions worldwide. 

The acquisition also brings new customers to Betker, as well as a production unit that diversifies the availability and logistics of refractory materials in both the Nordics and Central Europe. This strengthens our ability to deliver solutions more efficiently to a wider customer base. 

The Åheim Refractories acquisition is a big step forward for us. The timing was perfect, we are ready to grow, and our financial position is strong. The Åheim Refractories team are top professionals, and the location offers excellent opportunities to serve customers and utilise the world’s best olivine.
