Refractory material applications often have a need for low volume casting work, or a relatively small mixer may be used in the process. In this case, customers often want refractory materials to be delivered in small 25 kg bags, which usually present certain challenges. This is why we have developed a silo solution that enables the use of big bags.
Our silo solution speeds up the customer’s process, reduces the amount of physical work and improves occupational safety as you only need to use a crane once when lifting big bags, whereas small bags may require dozens of lifts – usually by hand.
The scale in our silo system shows both the amount of material fed and the amount of material left. With the press of a button, the silo system’s screw feeder will start feeding material into, for example, a mixer. We can design the screw rotation speed according to the customer’s process requirements and the appropriate feed rate for the material.
The dust extraction option in the silo, in turn, minimises material dusting around the area.
Material delivered in small bags is more expensive and may vary more in quality, so our silo using big bags enables a more affordable and consistent material.
Big bags also produce less bag waste.
We have also implemented the silo system we developed in our own production and found it excellent in all respects. We have received praise from our customers particularly for making their work easier.
